It will be around 5:00 am when the whole caravan of the AFRICA ECO RACE® will start a long liaison to the borders separating Morocco and Mauritania. After passing the No Man's Land between the two borders, vehicles will join the Mauritanian village of Boulanouar from where will be given the start of the day's special stage.

Actually a well known stage now, quite fast on a sandy ground, but sometimes complicated in terms of cape navigation and off track. A fun exercise that will give a foretaste of the Mauritanian sand.

Africa Eco Race, 6a tappa: Ullevalseter inarrestabile, tra le auto vince Housieaux

Riparte dopo la sosta l’Africa Eco Race, ma nulla cambia nella categoria moto. Pal Anders Ullevalseter si prende anche la sesta tappa, firmando il miglior tempo nella speciale da 174 km, tra Dakhla e Chami. Il norvegese della KTM, leader nella generale con oltre due ore di vantaggio sulla piazza d’onore, precede il francese Norbert Dubois, secondo a 6’35’‘. Completa il podio il russo Dmitry Agoshkov.

Trionfa tra le quattro ruote, Dominique Housieaux. Il pilota transalpino, al volante della sua Optimus MD, completa la speciale in 1h15’44’‘, rifilando poco piu’ di un minuto a Kanat Shagirov. Il kazako della Toyota mantiene comunque la leadership in classifica, davanti a un altro francese, Pascal Thomasse, terzo di giornata. Vince nella categoria camion, infine, il russo Sergey Kuprianov.
