CLASH OF THE TITANS
Walker and McCanney confirmed to start.

The opening round of the ACU British Extreme Enduro championship is, once again, the only event where the top four extreme riders in the country will compete head to head.
David Knight and Graham Jarvis will have to make some room in the spotlight as they are joined by current British Extreme Enduro Champion, KTM Factory rider Jonny Walker and Gas Gas' Danny McCanney in the starting line-up for Eddy's Xtreme Enduro at Tong on January 27th.

Title holder Walker is considered to be one of the best young extreme riders around and he completes what many people consider to be the UK's 'top three' extreme riders, alongside Knight and Jarvis, and will be eager to post his first 'home win' of the season.

Although McCanney isn't an extreme specialist he is a very talented and versatile rider and recent results, where he finished just behind Jarvis and Walker, have prompted him to confirm his place in the starting line up.

Paul Edmondson: 'I'm really pleased that Jonny and Danny are able to make it to the event. It will be a clash of the Titans as far as most people are concerned but as with any extreme event, anything can happen. Paul Bolton, James Dabill and the Hemingway brothers are riding really well and the quality of Pro riders entered into the event is second to none.'

The Tong event will be the definitive race of the season for many riders and spectators with the top British riders competing on home soil for a British title.

The excitement is now starting to build up as we get closer to the opening round of the Eddy’s X-treme at the Parkwood 4X4 Centre at Tong Farm, Tong near Bradford.  This event, if the last two years are anything to go by, will hopefully be a spectacular display of extreme enduro riding  from some of the U.K.’s and world’s best enduro riders including David Knight and Graham Jarvis.

With a new race format for this year including a morning race for Vets, Sportsman and Youth riders on a technical but challenging course the afternoon race for Pro, Expert and Clubman riders only should allow Fast Ed to prepare the hardest and extreme event ever to hit the UK scene.

Entry details are available on the Extreme page of this website and start times, entrance costs and driving instructions will be posted over the weekend.

In the meantime check out the latest video from Fast Ed prepared this week at the Tong circuit.
