Enduro: è ufficiale, l’Italia non parteciperà alla Six Days 2014

Ecco la notizia che nessuno avrebbe mai voluto ricevere. Era nell'aria da diverso tempo  e adesso arriva la conferma ufficiale: l'Italia non parteciperà alla prossima Sei Giorni di Enduro prevista dal 3 all'8 novembre in Argentina.

Una decisione sofferta, per certi versi clamorosa, ma che servirà a tutto l'ambiente per ripartire con spirito nuovo nel 2015.

 

LE PAROLE PESANTI DEL PRESIDENTE SESTI

Decisa e diretta la dichiarazione del Presidente Sesti: “Tutti sanno che provengo dall'Enduro e potete comprendere quanto sia stato difficile prendere questa decisone ed assumermene la responsabilità insieme ai dirigenti e coordinatori della F.M.I. Questa scelta non ha le sue motivazioni nel solo aspetto economico che, per quanto significativo, non è stato determinante. Il successo della scorsa edizione in Sardegna, dove siamo stati protagonisti sportivamente e come organizzazione, non ha provocato quello slancio che ci aspettavamo, anzi certi comportamenti di alcuni dei nostri Nazionali sono stati controproducenti e hanno messo a rischio il lavoro con le Autorità che ci hanno ospitato. Il nostro lavoro, il nostro sostegno vengono considerati scontati e superflui e allora è meglio mettere un punto e ripartire. Anche da zero se occorre. Meglio investire sui giovanissimi e sulle attività di base piuttosto che su chi non sente l'orgoglio e l'onore di vestire la Maglia della Nazionale. Se i nostri valori sportivi, gli stessi del CONI, e di tutte le altre specialità non sono condivisi, anzi per alcuni sono motivo di trattativa e contenzioso, bisogna cambiare rotta. A maggior ragione quando rilevo che piloti di altre specialità, sicuramente con una carriere alle spalle ben diversa, partecipano con entusiasmo alle rispettive gare per squadre nazionali”.

 

L'Italia sarà comunque rappresentata in Argentina da un Delegato FMI in Giuria Internazionale che tutelerà i partecipanti dei cinque club iscritti all'ISDE 2014.

ISDE 2014: Time to speed up



On Monday at 7:30 am bikes will start this 89° edition of the International Six Days of Enduro heading for the first six stages of the competition. Don´t miss this exciting start of the most important enduro competition which has arrived to San Juan. Find out how to get to the stages.

It is time for the truth for each of the 347 riders at FIM ISDE 2014. After a week of intense work at the Paddock in order to pass technical check and leave the bikes in Parc Fermé ready to go, finally this six-day competition will start its journey across San Juan lands until next November 8th.

The opening Ceremony on Saturday evening was an exquisite appetizer just before the event. The teams paraded along Centro Cívico showing their emotion and excitement and thus this 89th ISDE was officially opened.

Now, it is time to speed up and tomorrow, early in the morning, competitors will have to run the initial tests. Day 1 and 2 will have a loop of six tests along four different stages.

Monday and Tuesday, the race will run across the western region in San Juan, around Ullum Dam, and El Zonda city.

Loma Negra will be the scenario for the first and the fifth tests in the first two days. There, riders will find a typical enduro test with a lot of dust and loose stones. It will be ideal for high speed, but with a difficult start with many hair pins and several twisty sections.

The second test of the day is located at Club Náutico San Juan (the Yatch Club), and this one also holds the last test of the day. It is a fast test with a few “fech-fech” sections surrounded by the incredible natural beauty of Ullum Dam.

The MX gravel test at Asociación Sanjuanina de Volantes (ASER) – will hold Monday’s third test, which will be entirely a Cross test.

Cerro Blanco circuit will hold Day 1 fourth test. Riders will have to run on sandy sections with rolling stones.

After completing Monday´s six tests, riders will come back to the Paddock at Estadio Bicentenario where they will have 15 minutes to repair and get their bikes ready for the second day.
