RISULTATI DAY 1

RISULTATI DAY 2

Helmsley 3/4th May

The ACU Edmondson Racing British Enduro Championship moved the Helmsley near York for the 2nd round this weekend. The weather was fine with sunshine drying the ground after overnight showers.

Danny McCanney won the first long test of the day ahead of Brad Freeman and Tom Sagar. Daryl Bolter overcame a back injury to finish 4th fastest, Jamie Lewis was 5th, Steve Holcombe 6th, Josh Gotts 7th, Jack Rowland 8th, Alex Rockwell 9th and Rob Johnson 10th.

Tom Sagar pulled back 6 seconds from Danny McCanney by winning shorter 2nd test. The racing through the trees couldn't have been closer as Jack Rowland (3rd) pushed Brad Freeman into 4th by 400th of a second, Jamie Lewis was 5th, Daryl Bolter 6th, Steve Holcombe 7th.

On their second long test the faster riders got faster and the slower riders didn't. Danny McCanney improved by 15 seconds to break the 8 minute barrier. Tom Sagar bit a huge 16 seconds out of his first run to finish second. Steve Holcombe was 3rd, Daryl Bolter was 4th and Brad Freeman was 5th.

At the halfway stage Danny McCanney led the field from Tom Sagar. Brad Freeman was 3rd , Daryl Bolter 4th and Jack Rowland was 5th. Jamie Lewis was going well in 6th until his chain snapped on the 6th test. Danny McCanney had his own problems after a crash cracked his rad and he had to nurse the air cooled Beta home.

Tom Sagar was the Day 1 winner and Brad Freeman was the runner up. A great result for the Colwyn Bay Team. Danny McCanney may have been distracted and he incurred a 1 minute penalty on the final check which dropped him to 3rd. Steve Holcombe was 4th. Daryl Bolter 5th, Jack Rowlands 6th, Rob Johnson 7th, Alex Rockwell 8th, Josh Gotts 9th and Lee Edmondson 10th,

At 17 years of age Jon Hunt had time on his side - 85 second to be precise - which was his winning margin over 2nd placed Clubman Tom Elwood. Tom himself wasn't hanging about as he built up a two minute lead over Lee Green in 3rd. Alistair Griffin (best E1 2T) was 4th and Adam James was 5th. Liam Radcliffe in 17th was the best E3.

4 out of 7 Women finished. Jane Daniels was the winner. Katie Walker was 2nd , Liz Childerley 3rd and Megan Wilson 4th.

There was also a cracking tussle for 3rd between Daryl Bolter and Jamie Lewis which came down to the final test when Daryl pulled back a 3 second deficit to win a podium finish by 1 second from Jamie in 4th.

The Expert podium was a repeat of Day 1 with Joe Wootton,Fraser Flockhart and Charlie Evans. Lee Sealey was 4th and Jack Edmondson - recently out of plaster - put his best foot forward to finish 5th.
