Secondo giorno di FIM ISDE in Sardegna, secondo giorno all'insegna della Francia. La Nazionale transalpina, dopo aver preso 1'15'' di vantaggio sugli Stati Uniti nel Day 1, si è ripetuta oggi con una grande prestazione di squadra, incrementando il vantaggio a + 4’56’’ sull’Australia seconda.
World Trophy Giornata pressoché perfetta, ancora una volta, per Antoine Meo. Il francese è riuscito a vincere tre Prove Speciali su sei, lasciando le prime due all'australiano Daniel Milner e la quarta al connazionale Johnny Aubert. I due transalpini occupano attualmente la prima e la terza posizione assoluta, e tra loro c'è proprio Milner. Il migliore degli USA - squadra terza in classifica – oggi è stato Robert Taylor, che ha sempre viaggiato tra la quarta e la sesta posizione per poi risalire in seconda nell'ultima Speciale. Molto sfortunata l'Italia, la cui prestazione è stata condizionata dalla cattiva sorte che ha colpito Alex Salvini: nella terza Prova una pietra ha colpito la catena della moto del bolognese, che poi ha subito la rottura della pedana a metà della penultima Speciale. Il tutto, dopo che il pilota era stato in ospedale fino a tarda notte per rimuovere una grossa spina dal braccio.
Ora la Francia conduce la classifica generale con 8h33'18'', seguita a + 4'56'' dall'Australia e a + 5'11'' dagli USA. L'Italia è ai piedi del podio a 8'25''
Junior World Trophy Nella categoria dedicata ai giovani, la lotta tra Francia e Italia è molto aperta, con la Gran Bretagna pronta a sfruttare i loro errori. Oggi i protagonisti delle prime due squadre sono stati Loic Larrieu e Giacomo Redondi, adesso rispettivamente 9° e 22° nella graduatoria assoluta. Mathias Bellino è 15°, Moroni 30°. La classifica vede in testa i transalpini, ma il distacco è di soli 66 secondi. I britannici, dal canto loro, contano sul 20° e sul 26° di Jamie e Daniel McCanney e cercheranno di rimanere attaccati ai primi.
Questa la classifica: Francia 5h15'31'', Italia a + 1'06'' e Gran Bretagna a 2'39''.
Women's World Trophy Tra le donne, nel Day 2 l'Australia ha piazzato tre piloti nei primi cinque posti (1° Jessica Gardiner, 2° Tayla Jones, 4°Jemma Wilson), lasciando gli altri due alle svedesi Jessica Jonsson - terza - ed Emelie Karlsson. L'Australia guida la generale a 4h04'17'', seguita ovviamente dalla Svezia a + 3'20''. Più lontano la Francia, terza, a 12'05'' dalla capoclassifica.
