The second day of Enduro in Santiago de Compostela was played on Sunday.
As might be expected after lived yesterday, today was also very exciting. Pilots have given everything in three stages prepared by the Motoclub Movete Na Moto and the fans have enjoyed watching the athletes compete. Due to heavy rain the whole weekend has been removed part of the rally since the land was impracticable.
In the special there have been a lot of mud and though the sun has risen a little, the rain has made an appearance at certain times in the morning.
Yesterday Scratch Jonathan Barragan victory with Oriol Mena second and third Diogo Ventura took. Josep Jaume Garcia finished fourth and fifth Betriu.
Today the struggle to be the best in the overall standings of the day has returned to be between Barragan and Mena. The Gas Gas has always been very fast and the extra motivation to have won yesterday has risen to the highest step of the podium of Santiago. Oriol has been second and third Betriu Jaume. It seems that these harsh conditions, mud, rain and slippery terrain very good at all three.
By category today in Enduro 1 Santolino Lorenzo has been the best in Enduro 2 Oriol Mena in Enduro 3 Jonathan Barragan, Ramón Quer Junior Open, Junior U21 Sergi Casany, National Junior Trophy Bernat Cortes, Senior B 2T Josu Artola in Senior B 4T James Mendez in Senior C 2T David Gomez in Senior C 4T Jorge Moreno and Master David Vicente Soldevilla.
As for women's participation Badia Mireia has won again today as Arantxa Belda made Humi Palau second and third. Sandra Polo was fourth.
The prize giving ceremony was held at 16'30h and present several authorities supporting the race. Have been Laura Mosquera, deputy secretary or Xeral for Sport of the Xunta de Galicia, Agustín Hernández, Mayor of Santiago, Maria J. Corral, Councillor for Sports, Nano Ferro, president of the Galician Federation of Motorcycling, José Canda, President MC Movete Na Moto and Jaume Codina, chairman of the Committee Enduro RFME.
The next round of RFME Spain Enduro Championship will be held on 30 and 31 May in Antas, Almeria.
